|As a Business Development Manager, you’ll join our Business Services team, responsible for the growth of business customers through development and delivery of services. With a passion for working towards targets and exceeding them, you’ll be proactive in your approach to acquiring new customers and confident when identifying opportunities to cross sell other products and services. You’ll utilise a number of channels to reach targets, including outbound calling, leveraging of existing client relationships, as well as partnering with third parties, intermediaries and Energy managers.
As a confident communicator, you’ll build strong relationships with both partners and key stakeholders, delivering and supporting the roll out of new propositions. You’ll be proactive when promoting these to our customers and identifying selling opportunities. With an in-depth knowledge of Good Energy’s propositions and outstanding service, you’ll excel when completing the acquisition process from negotiating to implementing. You’ll also work closely with the Business Account Management team to deliver a seamless customer experience.
In this role you’ll identify opportunities to maximise sales by providing feedback and insight from customers, helping to develop our propositions to reflect advancements and changes in the industry. You’ll ensure that any business won is done so compliantly, following the correct sign off process and contract governance framework and ensure accuracy and relevant information of leads on the CRM system.
|We’re looking for a confident communicator, who keeps the customer at the heart of everything they do and is committed to delivering excellent service whilst also delivering and exceeding sales targets. With outstanding negotiation and influencing skills, you’ll have experience of contractual negotiation as well as experience of managing a portfolio.
You’ll be flexible in your approach to work, attending external meetings and events whilst also taking ownership and managing own workload. With a keen eye for detail and an analytic nature, you’ll relish the opportunity to dive into the detail on contract negotiation, contract terms and deal structures.

|Good Energy is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. We’re currently all working from home and will be looking to return to the office for a couple of days a week in the future, alongside remote working. We’re just a two-minute walk away from the train station, with fast connections to Bristol, Swindon and the surrounding area.
