Our mission at Multus is to create the key ingredient, the growth media, to make cultivated meat affordable and profitable. We are developing a system that allows the production of animal-free, food-grade growth media using our optimised proteins that can meet demand at a commercially viable price-point.

Length of internship: flexible, up to 12 months (min 6 months)
 
Role & Responsibility
 
  • Cell culture maintenance of various cell lines, using techniques such as thawing, passaging, freezing, and single-cell cloning.
  • Support the development of tools and protocols to characterise the growth, differentiation and phenotypic traits of various cell lines.
  • Support laboratory operation and perform essential molecular biological work to allow smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Support conceptualisation and implementation of lab experiments with team.
  • Set up experiments and follow protocols and provide technical inputs.
  • Write up scientific and technical reports and records.
  • Coordinate maintenance of equipment and lab facilities with team.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and implement paperwork as required.
We expect you to:
 
  • Be currently enrolled in or have recently completed a Bachelor or Master degree in Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical engineering, Biological Sciences or closely related fields.
  • Be able to demonstrate initiative and pro-active approach.
  • Be a good communicator and be comfortable with handling simultaneous tasks.
  • Have the ability to be an independent contributor and work under ambiguity.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced and interdisciplinary environment.
Previous working/internship experience in related field (academic or industrial) and experience with aseptic techniques are a plus.
