What is Selva?
Selva is built on the premise that there are many people out there who care about today’s environmental challenges but don’t have the time, money, trust, or knowledge to do more. We aim to fix that. Selva is an online platform that enables individuals to calculate and then offset their carbon footprint through a monthly subscription to reforestation projects.
Through a down-to-earth message of optimism and transparency, we hope to appeal to a young generation of internet-savvy conscious-consumers, and empower them to get involved in protecting our natural world.
Selva was founded 6 months ago by Harry (CEO) and Fila (CTO), and launched in August 2021.
Who are we looking for?
We have the finance, strategy and technical expertise, and are looking for someone with marketing knowledge to complete the early team. The ideal person would have these characteristics and skills:
- High energy, proactive, fun-loving and friendly
- Determined and reliable. Purpose-driven.
- Marketing experience (broad marketing strategy, digital marketing)
- Community / brand building – sending the right message will be key. We need someone who can create a buzz, connect with users and build our story.
We are based in Barcelona but the role can be fully remote at this stage. Harry works full time on Selva while Fila works part time. The role can be part time initially, although full time preferred, and the time commitment would be reflected in the level of equity given.
What we offer
Selva is an early-stage start-up with big ambitions and this gives you the opportunity to get involved in the company from the start, working with two friendly, passionate co-founders. If entrepreneurship and sustainability are for you then this could be the perfect opportunity.
We have yet to raise funding so at this stage can only pay with equity. The level of equity is negotiable but for the right person it would be very generous. We aim to raise funding in early 2022, at which point we will be in a position to pay the team salaries!
