We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our extended hours team as an Energy Advisor, which forms part of Home Energy Scotland’s award winning service, to enable us to support as many householders as possible during the winter period.

You will be one of two new advisors joining the team and will be responsible for providing energy advice to householders to motivate and enable them to take action to reduce their fuel bills, cut carbon emissions and make their homes warmer and more comfortable.

Home Energy Scotland prides itself on delivering world class customer service therefore your passion for customer service and effective delivery of customer journeys is essential. You will speak with a wide range of customers on the phone and online therefore your ability to listen, empathise and help customers to act defines success in this role.

Your total working hours will be 27.5 hours a week on a rota basis covering the periods of 8am-9am Monday -Friday, 4.30pm-8.30pm Monday-Friday and 9.00am-5.30pm on Saturdays . The role is home-based therefore you will be able to work remotely anywhere within Scotland. IT equipment will be provided.

During the training period we will need to alter your shift pattern to support the delivery of training. Our planned training times are 9-5 Monday-Friday and our preferred candidates will need to be available at these times. Once training is complete you will revert to 27.5 hours and the shift pattern detailed above. If, however, it is impossible for you to attend training during these hours then we may still consider your application if you highlight on your cover letter what hours you are available for.
