The Company

At Phytoform Labs Ltd we believe in sustainable agriculture and nutrition for all. We see a lack of innovation in the agricultural space around the crops themselves, so we are building a multidisciplinary team to help rectify the situation. We have exciting growth plans over the next year and we are looking for a talented executive assistant to support us as we develop and grow. We are based at the world leading plant science institute Rothamsted Research just outside of London, United Kingdom.

The Role

If you are looking for a new challenge and like to get involved with multiple tasks and projects, as well as making a demonstrable impact to the running of the business, then this job is for you. The Executive Assistant role is critical in providing assistance and administrative support to both Phytoform Labs founders and the Company Board and Investor arrangements. A key member of the team, this role will provide business assistance across a range of areas including office support and administration, data room and document management and supporting us as we grow our online presence.

You will:

  • Be responsible for diary management & executive assistance
  • Coordinate a wide range of events and executive meetings
  • Provide Board & investor support with meetings, minutes and papers
  • Keep our website and social media platforms up to date
  • Provide general office administration & support
  • Manage and maintain our data room
  • Coordinate travel and other arrangements as required


  • Relevant experience as an Executive Assistant or similar supportive role
  • Experience in providing support to Executive/Management Boards
  • Experience utilising social media platforms such as LinkedIn & Twitter
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Well organised, time management skills with the ability to organise and coordinate a range of projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to organise, plan and execute own work under own initiative
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work including the ability to prioritise and adapt to change
  • Experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A team player with an enthusiasm for working in a busy and evolving environment

  • Have experience managing company social media pages/websites
  • Have project management experience
