We’re looking for bright sparks with an eye for detail who are systematic, great at multitasking and willing to dive in at the deep end to help maintain the office and keep it running smoothly, as well as working with the rest of the finance team, to cover maternity leave. This is a fixed term post for a duration of 6-9 months.

You’ll support our Financial Assistant with all elements of accounting and finance. You’ll ensure accuracy and compliance throughout the department. The ideal administrator will take ownership and enjoy a hands-on and detailed focused role.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • posting invoices and cash transactions for sale and purchase ledgers;

  • maintaining fixed asset register;

  • processing payroll;

  • monitoring finance KPIs and be responsible for follow up;

  • supporting with assembly of information for external audits;

  • completing ad hoc finance projects and support, working with other areas of the business;

  • conducting periodic reconciliations of bank and other balance sheet accounts;

  • purchasing of supplies;

  • ensuring financial compliance and accuracy;

  • maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Pure Planet’s product and purpose. Be passionate about our mission!

You’ll be working with our finance, data, and billing teams, and reporting to our Financial Controller.

The Person

Your role will evolve and diversify, and you’ll have every opportunity to influence and develop within our finance team.

Ideally you will have:

  • experience within a finance or accounting team;

  • AAT level two or equivalent work experience;

  • a strong sense of discretion and initiative;

  • the ability to manage your own workload, resolve competing demands and cope with changing priorities;

  • a practical, hands-on approach and a can-do attitude;

  • excellent IT skills, particularly excel;

  • the ability to work to tight deadlines, and

  • excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skill

Experience within an energy sector finance team and/or; any knowledge of data analysis is not essential, but advantageous.

Due to COVID19 we all currently work from home and are planning to do so until it is safe to return to the office. Depending on how government guidelines change over the coming months, this role can either be worked from home or the office or a mixture of both.

We are happy to consider part time applications as well as full time for this role.
