Title: Governance Officer
Reporting to: Head of Operations
Deadline: Monday 6th September 2021, 9am UK timeStart date: Early October 2021 (ideally)
Hours: Part-time, 2.5 days (18.75 hours) or 3 days (22.5 hours) per week. The set work hours of this role can be concentrated on a few days or dispersed across the week; candidates should specify their preference and any restrictions in their application.
Location: Remote position, working from home, based in the UK. Candidates must already have permission to work in the UK.
Duration: 12 months renewable annually subject to funding and performance, with 3-month probationary period.
Pay: £27,000-32,000 per annum pro-rata depending on experience. 28 days paid holiday per year pro-rata, plus statutory UK bank holidays. Employer pension contribution of 5-7%. Contract will be PAYE, and subject to UK law.
IHRB is recruiting an experienced and dynamic Governance Officer to help ensure our charity is well- governed, and to play a crucial role in assuring the overall quality and performance of the charity.
This new role will be responsible for a range of operational and governance duties aimed at ensuring the charity and its subsidiaries are compliant with all governance matters and led by good practice guidance.
The Governance Officer will report to the Head of Operations and support the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Operations in matters relating to boards, sub-committees, and other bodies, as well as other operational matters.
The Governance Officer will act as a source of governance support and advice, and will arrange, service and facilitate meetings of the Boards, Sub-Committees and Advisory Council, and other meetings as required.
