Apolitical is a global technology company accelerating the transformation of government. We help public servants find the policies, peers and partners they need to tackle the world’s biggest problems. Our network is used in more than 170 countries, including by mayors, ministers and former heads of state. We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our mission to save democracy by enabling governments to make better decisions.
We are looking for a new member to join our team of mission-driven, collaborative inquisitive software engineers to build our digital policy and learning platforms. You will ideally be comfortable sinking your teeth into all parts of our stack from DevOps, to backend and frontend with the desire to build up your skill set to domain expertise in at least one of these areas. We don’t expect you to have all the answers but you should be keen to learn and figure it out.
As a junior engineer, we want to help you grow through challenging work, regular check ins with your manager, pairing with colleagues and learning opportunities such as our twice-monthly learning days. We’ll provide you with the support you need to find your strengths. This role would be ideal for someone who has recently graduated, completed a boot camp or similar and is curious and eager to learn.
- University/Boot Camp graduates welcome
- Familiarity with NodeJS and/or React would be a plus
- Comfortable working in an agile environment
- Open communication and a willingness to give and receive candid feedback
(In addition to working with smart, kind people on one of the most important challenges of our time…)
