Help bring democracy to the Internet

The Metagovernance Project is building a governance layer for the internet—an ecosystem of governance tools and services that work across social networks, online games, and blockchains. We are hiring a research engineer to help us develop components of that governance layer, especially the Metagov Gateway (docs.metagov.org). As part of this project, you will build governance systems and policies using a range of open-source tools (including the Gateway itself), work with a global team of researchers and academics (including academics at Oxford, Harvard, Stanford, UWash, etc.), have regular 1-to-1 calls with a research lead, and build towards both a practical product and high-impact research. For more details about the position and information on how to apply, please visit metagov.org/join or contact hello@metagov.org.

About Metagov: The Metagovernance Project is a non-profit interdisciplinary research collective with some of the top researchers working in Internet governance today, including some of the key people behind Creative Commons, platform cooperativism, and blockchain law. Together, we build standards and infrastructure for digital self-governance. Learn more about our people and our work at www.metagov.org.
