A bit about the opportunity:
The Sales Development Associate is an integral part of the Chatterbox team and has critical responsibilities throughout the sales process. This position requires the development of viable prospects and client relationships needed to build a strong sales pipeline. It also entails an in-depth understanding of sales transaction management, assisting team stakeholders and senior sellers by executing key elements of the closing process. Over time, the SDA will bring their own prospects to closing, leading the charge throughout the entire sales cycle. Most importantly, the SDA will effectively participate in client meetings at all levels.
This hands-on role will develop you to:
Vet prospects on an ongoing basis using criteria established by senior sellers
Utilize email sequencing strategies and tactics to develop qualified leads and activate conversations
Focus on industries and companies that meet key criteria, becoming expert on people-intensive industries i.e. banks, global enterprises, development organizations, etc.
Target a mix of global and regional accounts that have long-term potential; secure meetings with key decision makers as established by SDA quarterly goals
Prepare for prospect meetings in detail, including educating key stakeholders on the key selling points and challenges associated with the prospects; utilizing formal meeting prep checklists; and scheduling preparation meetings in a timely and effective manner
Be versed in the specifics of closing both large and small deals
Be able to assist in moving a deal to contract with input from senior sellers and key stakeholders
Serve as an advisor to clients during the sales cycle, resolving any challenges or problems that arise
Utilize Hubspot as CRM for all prospecting and client activities; extract data to understand productivity and selling effectiveness
Essential skills & experiences include:
Minimum 2 years experience in B2B sales support role, preferably with service-oriented offerings or tech platform products
Strong understanding of language learning space preferred
Awareness of and appreciation for cross-cultural understanding and social responsibility
Strong work ethic, available for deals as needed
Team player, willing to help others achieve their goals
Active participant in a positive work culture
Effective verbal and written communication with clients and teammates that creates high value results
Develop a strategy for “quiet” time communication that elevates personal and company worth to clients and prospects
