About the role

Senior Card Operations Support Analyst – 12-month FTC

 

The Senior Card Operations Support Analyst provides support for Card Operations, responsible for the co-ordination, resolution and reporting of card specific issue and incident management, administrative support including data analysis and reporting, and the provision of initial business impact analysis and support through the change delivery process for card / card scheme driven change.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the Data Integrity Program to ensure compliance with the rules and mitigation of assessments for non-compliance
  • Submit reports to the Card Schemes as required (QMR, Data Compromise, Card Forecasts)
  • Prepare reports for Senior Management including fraud basis points and performance against industry benchmarks
  • Review Scheme bulletins and ensure any required system changes are highlighted, planned for, and implemented in line with Scheme deadlines to avoid assessments for non-compliance
  • Review Card Scheme and industry statistics to ensure performance is in line with expectations
  • Monitor Third Party Provider (TPP) performance against targets. Coordinate and facilitate the Annual Strategy Meeting with TPP and TBUK Senior Managers
  • Production of regular management information, risk reporting, and reporting output
  • Review the impact assessment of legacy card processes (across the business) and recommend change activities
  • Advise, challenge and support business users in assessing and documenting the business case for change initiatives
  • Complete user acceptance activities to ensure the product of each change initiative meets its agreed acceptance criteria
  • Review TPP information broadcasts relating to planned changes and update internal stakeholders as required
  • Monitor TPP incident notifications and escalate as appropriate
  • Act as an internal SME for card related incidents and provide support and advice to internal stakeholders for card related queries
  • Ensure fully documented and up to date E2E processes, procedures, controls, and training plans are in place for onboarding and ongoing card management activities
  • Regularly update the Card Operations handbook and reference library
  • Review and update incidents and service requests and escalate issues to the card processor
  • Input into budget planning activity and work with the Card Operations Manager to plan project related forecasts

To be successful in this role, you will have an excellent working knowledge of card related processes with significant experience in the industry. Possess a strong understanding of card scheme operations and have a detailed understanding of business operations with a commitment to delivering positive business change with a clear customer focus. Demonstrate excellent communication planning, prioritisation and time management skills and have experience of one or more of the following:

 

  • Administration and data analytic tasks such as reviewing and completing reports
  • Issue and incident management within a support function
  • The ability to analyse technical bulletins published by the card schemes
  • Delivering change that has a positive customer impact
  • Gathering and analysing information and documenting business change requirements
  • Experience of working on complex card related projects
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to perform well under pressure
  • Process improvement initiatives using industry-standard methodologies such as LEAN / Six Sigma
