Moixa is a high growth venture and energy industry innovator which has established itself as the UK’s leading residential smart battery storage company.

Moixa invents, manufactures and distributes smart energy technology including the Moixa Smart Battery range and Moixa GridShare – the battery asset management software platform that enables end customers to maximise the usage of renewable energy and unlock mass adoption of EV technology.

The Moixa team is growing fast and we are looking for a Supply Chain Intern to work alongside the Operations team and the rest of our passionate team in London and Manchester.

The position is London based.


We are looking for someone with an interest in supply chain and industrial engineering to join the Supply Chain function of the company. You will work very closely with our Operations and Quality team, as well as our Hardware team and our external supply chain partners and will have the following day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Supporting logistics operations across the business and optimising the transport of goods upstream and downstream whilst working closely with couriers and our warehouses
  • Managing and allocating stock based on customer and client requirements
  • Centrally managing the procurement activities by continuously driving down costs while meeting production and project timelines
  • Working very closely with Moixa’s contract manufacturers to ensure the timely resolution of any problems that occur in day-to-day manufacturing
  • Communicating product updates to contract manufacturers through Moixa’s PLM system
  • Working closely with the quality team to track quality issues throughout the supply chain, creating manufacturing SOPs and enabling continuous improvement of the RMA process
  • Tracking stock levels for Moixa’s growing product range
  • Identifying and implementing improvements for Supply Chain processes across the business
  • Improving supply chain visibility throughout the business by developing process maps and reporting on KPIs

Required skills:

  • Ability to understand new concepts and processes quickly
  • Ability to take the lead on multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Ability to solve problems through structured methodologies
  • Advanced use of online office software (Google Suite, Microsoft Excel)


  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering or similar
  • Manufacturing stakeholder management experience
  • Familiarity with the manufacturing of lithium battery technology
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, lean manufacturing and quality processes
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Project management experience
  • Technical understanding of Energy Storage Systems
  • Interest in the Energy Sector or IoT
  • Experience in New Product Introduction
  • Experience in using ERP and Product Lifecycle Management systems

You should be:

  • Able to deal with uncertainty within a highly agile environment
  • Ready to work in an office comprising many cultures and personality types, and be able to engage and collaborate with both highly technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Willing to travel to third-party suppliers within the UK on a monthly basis (subject to the current COVID-19 situation)
  • Happy working in a small, fast-moving team, in which your individual initiative and contributions can have a big impact
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, to ensure all stakeholders understand developments within your function
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, open to learning new things
  • Self-starter, managing your own workload and deadlines
  • Able to commute to our central London (Farringdon) office under our Covid guidelines 2 days a week

Duration: 6 months internship, with the possibility to extend to a permanent position

Location: Central London (Farringdon). Currently, for employees wanting to go into the office, we are working in group on Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday

Salary: £20k-£25k depending on experience

Start date: as soon as possible
