In the UK, we focus on issues such as homelessness, domestic abuse, mental health, learning difficulties, loneliness and vulnerable children on the edge of the care system. We also look to improve equity for marginalised communities in social services. Internationally, we design outcomes- based models for issues such as maternal and neonatal health, education and employment.

The Opportunity

The Data and Digital Team is a fast-growing part of Social Finance with ambitious plans over the next 3-5 years. To support and enable this business to grow and meet demand, a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist is needed. As part of the Human Resources team (HR), you will have the support and resources you need to successfully deliver the Data and Digital resourcing and recruitment plans.

About You

You will bring experience of talent acquisition in either an agency or in-house role. You will be proactive in your approach to identifying resourcing solutions and take pride in building positive rapport with prospective candidates and in turn employees through recruitment, onboarding and induction. You will be solutions focussed and thrive off matching people with opportunities. You will be passionate and motivated by social impact and the role of data in delivering lasting change. Collaborative in approach, you will enjoy working across teams and sharing knowledge and best practice with others.

• Work with the HR Manager and Business Unit Head to determine staffing needs and to define and prioritise the recruitment and resourcing needs and develop the recruitment strategy.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build your career in talent acquisition and HR, working in a dynamic and fast-growing social impact business. With responsibility for the full cycle of recruitment across the Data and Digital team, you will work closely with the Director to shape the way we build the team, acquire and develop talent and support team cohesion.

  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle from initial job briefing to onboarding, working with the HR team and Data and Digital Team to plan and coordinate the process.
  • Identify key assessment criteria that will ensure an inclusive recruitment process and attract a diverse range of candidates with the relevant skillset.
  • Use creative sourcing techniques to build an effective pipeline, which identifies and engages a broad range of candidates through a blend of recruitment methods, including social media, recruitment agencies and search firms, job boards, referrals and networking.
  • Shortlist and interview candidates alongside other team members. Design and administer other interview assessments such as presentations and case study exercises.
  • Identify and build a network of people interested and experienced in our digital and data work for current and future vacancies, for both permanent and contractor roles.
  • Build opportunities to further improve our employer brand and reputation through recruitment and networking.
  • Work with the HR Manager and Data and Digital Team on ensuring a positive new joiner experience complemented by relevant learning and development resources.
  • Provide steer and guidance to the Business Unit head on wider planning and people management considerations.
  • Assess recruitment statistics available through our Applicant Tracking System to monitor and report on the effectiveness of our recruitment strategies.

  • Previous experience of working within talent acquisition either in-house or with an agency.
  • Proven experience across the full recruitment cycle using a range of techniques and creative thinking to

    source and retain talent for a broad range of roles.

  • Understanding and experience of working with data and digital focussed roles and recruiting into this

    area.

  • Extensive experience of using recruitment, selection and networking channels such as LinkedIn, CV

    databases and recruitment events.

  • Experience in attracting talent to an emerging area within an organisation.
  • Experience of managing multiple recruitment rounds simultaneously.
  • Experience of supporting a growing business area.
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, both with candidates and team members.

Our Commitment to You

Social Finance offers a range of training and development support, using both in-house expertise and external partners to develop and deliver our training programmes. Alongside the Project Managers you work with day to day, your Line Manager will support you in your career planning and personal development. The fixed salary for this position is £50,000 per annum plus an additional 10% pensionable salary in lieu of benefits. We offer a generous holiday allowance plus bank holidays and corporate leave between Christmas and New Year when the office is closed. We also offer a contributory stakeholder pension scheme, season ticket loans, bike to work schemes and Give as you Earn via salary sacrifice.
