You’ll support Pure Planet’s members by managing the co-ordination and management of all our technical deliveries (app, web, crm and associated integration to backend systems). The ideal Technical Delivery Manager will take ownership, be flexible, have great attention to detail, be able to collaborate and communicate with a wide variety of people, and is great at making things happen.
Main responsibilities will include:
accountable for technical delivery planning across all platforms and 3rd parties;
responsible for a centralised plan of all sprints;
supports the Product Owners in planning delivery from definition, through to delivery;
coordinates releases across platforms, holds a central release plan, and manages the risk to operations;
manages a centralised resource plan (BA, PM, PO, Dev, 3rd Parties) to help schedule work across the function;
supports Product Owners in detailed planning of releases including: Technical Activity; Testing; Training and Change Management Activity; Transfer to Operations;
responsible for coordination and planning of environments to ensure the right environments are available for the various technical releases;
coordinate upgrades and infrastructure with Operations and Development teams;
coordinates releases on the day;
manages continual improvement of the delivery process ensuring any improvements identified in retros are implemented.
You’ll be working with our small tech team, a few of our key partners, and reporting to our Head of Design and Delivery.
You’ll be joining our planet at an early stage – many exciting developments are planned and the role may evolve into diverse areas and functions. You will be able to adapt to change and love doing things differently. You’ll have the opportunity to help develop our proposition with your creative approach to problem solving and natural sense of curiosity. If you have:
experience as an Delivery Manager or Project Manager in a fast paced digital organisation
detailed planning skills
good understanding of resource management
capability to manage stakeholders and their expectations
good understanding and experience with Agile methodologies
ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
strong communication and influencing skills
an inquisitive attitude with the ability to constructively challenge others
excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
a flexible approach, require minimal supervision, and have the ability to multitask
experience working with multiple priorities and deadlines; and
the more knowledge or experience in the following areas the better: Mobile applications; web based systems; Salesforce; AI and automation; the retail energy sector;
