We’re looking for a bright spark who is dedicated, great at communicating and committed to delivering solutions that help make our vision reality.
You’ll support Pure Planet’s members by managing the testing of our solution across Billing, Smart Meters and Energy Industry Integrations. The ideal Test Lead will serve as the voice of the quality for the end consumer, take ownership, be flexible, have great attention to detail and be able to collaborate and communicate with a wide variety of people.
Main responsibilities will include:
test management of all solutions that impact our Gentrack Billing system, Energy Industry Flows and Smart (“System in Scope”);
creation and maintenance of a test strategy and methodology for testing and regression testing our the Systems In Scope;
investigative testing at the start of projects to understand how the Systems in Scope work, to support the design and developments understand the changes required;
working with Product Owners and testers of our other systems to agree how end to end solutions will be assured prior to deployment;
working closely with our Billing Product Owner to manage determine the test scope and testing process for our regular releases of the Billing System;
working with our Smart Product Owner to determine the approach and environments required to support testing of Smart solutions from Billing through to the Smart Meter;
collaborate with Product Owners and our partners (Gentrack, ESG, Meter Operators, DCC) to continually improve the process for testing and the quality of solutions delivered., and Gentrack to set the vision and roadmap for development of the Billing system;
create specific test plans for individual projects based upon the initial user stories and acceptance criteria, and perform the tests associated with the plan;
select and implement an appropriate tool for test management;
longer term objective to determine what tests can be automated and deliver an automated test solution.
support the business in driving the triaging and resolution of bugs within the product;
You’ll be working with our small tech team and reporting to our Smart Product Owner..

If you have:
experience in Energy Billing systems and ideally the Gentrack Junifer system;
experience in the Energy Industry Flows and ideally the AFMS platform from ESG.
experience in Smart Industry Flows and ideally the uSmart platform from ESG;
experience in Smart meter solutions;
minimum three years experience in testing ideally in the energy industry;
Ability to create quality assurance plans from strategy to details test scripts;
experience in Agile methodologies;
capability to manage stakeholders and their expectations;
ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal;
analytical and problem-solving skills;
strong communication skills;
an inquisitive attitude with the ability to constructively challenge others;
excellent verbal and interpersonal skills;
a flexible approach, require minimal supervision, and have the ability to multitask;
experience working with multiple priorities and deadlines; and
the more knowledge or experience in the following areas the better: the retail energy sector; smart metering; billing systems; data analysis; end to end delivery processes; testing; mobile applications; web based systems; Salesforce; AI and automation; then come and join our Planet.
