About Resource Futures
Founded in 2006, we are an independent, employee-owned, non-profit-distributing environmental consultancy with a 30-year heritage in the waste and resources industry. Our services are designed to realise our vision of a sustainable world, with a focus on designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use and supporting and regenerating natural systems – a world designed according to circular economy principles. We are not only passionate about what we do, but also, more importantly, about how we do it. We are proud to be a part of the global B Corp movement to use business as a force for good. For our waste composition work we are interested in hearing from experienced drivers of large vehicles such as long wheel base vans (up to 3.5 tonnes).
You will collect household waste and recycling, transport it to a local depot, hand sort it into different categories and record the results. You will be part of a small friendly team which will travel from our Bristol depot to different parts of the UK, generally for five consecutive days work.
The work helps improve local authority knowledge and understanding of the household waste stream and provides practical waste operations experience for anyone looking for a career in the environment or waste industry.
Accommodation, subsistence expenses and protective clothing are provided. The work would suit people that want flexibility in their work commitments and are happy to work away from home for short periods.
Please note that we cannot guarantee frequent work. Work is sporadic so you are applying to be added to our books to be offered work when it becomes available. You must be reliable, motivated, practical, methodical and willing to do hands on work.
We are a Living Wage employer. Guaranteed minimum 7 hours per working day. Hourly pay is £9.50 p/h + holiday pay £1.15 p/h. We also pay £25 subsistence payment per night away from home.
We are fully compliant with the Government’s Covid-19 regulations and our health and safety measures ensure all work is carried out in a Covid-safe way.
